Valérie Augros will speak at the upcoming PEOPIL conference on the new legal regime for cruises
Valérie Augros will participate in the PEOPIL conference on maritime and tourism law, to be held in Malaga, Spain, on 12 and 13 November 2026.
She will speak at this conference to detail her analysis of the recent CJEU ruling of 4 June 2026 (Case C-629/24 – MH and Costa Crociere SpA v. Costa Crociere SpA et al.), which clarifies the legal framework applicable to cruises in cases of personal injury, including when the cruise is a package holiday.
This decision represents a significant shift in both French and European law and still raises some practical issues.
